What is this?

"Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today.” – James Dean

A way to update about the important things
I will be using this blog to write about some of the bigger things in my life- those life experiences that make me see, feel, think, etc. differently about myself and the world.

The intention is really to keep myself motivated to never settle for routine- to reach out and grab life!  If one or two people see this and it helps them in any way, that would be ok too.

Why do this?
I think too many people are satisfied with routine.  When we’re kids, we dream.  We wonder.  We reach for the stars.  Somewhere along the line, we lose that.  We should always look for things that encourage us.  That excite us.  That challenge us.
Ultimately, there are 2 reasons for this:
1.  I have been looking for a way to update people about my life.  I have tried e-mails, considered blogs and vlogs, and there just doesn’t seem to be a way I’m happy with.  I don’t want to bore people with everyday routines and nothings.  "I ate at ____ for the first time.  It was good.”  "Went to the mall today…” “Classes are going well- I’m just trying to make it through the semester.”  Nobody cares.  I want to share things that would excite the people who love me and be exciting to me as well- to share and to update.
2.   To keep recording the once in a lifetime moments that I will never forget.  To document my experiences so when I am old and grey, I can look back and say “well done.”  To keep reflecting on the great moments.  To ask myself “what do I wish I would have done?” “what do I still want to do?” “what am I scared of?” “what can I help others with?”  Those and many other questions are things that people stop asking themselves.  I refuse to.

So hopefully this blog will end up being just that- a reminder to myself and others that I am

LIVING MY LIFE.
